privacy Blauncher
Last updated 2026-10-05
Blauncher (package com.bradflaugher.blauncher) is an Android home-screen launcher. It has no INTERNET permission and never touches the network. There are no accounts, no sync, no analytics, no ads, and no accessibility service.
Installed apps
Blauncher does not request QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES. Instead it declares the kinds of apps a launcher needs, and Android makes installed apps of those kinds visible to it: apps with a launcher icon (to show and launch them in the app drawer), home-screen apps (to check whether Blauncher is the default launcher), and browsers and web-search apps (to hand off searches). Android may also make some system apps visible to every app. This information never leaves your device.
Smart ordering
The "smart ordering" feature learns only from launches you make inside the launcher. This data is stored in local app preferences, and app data is excluded from backups.
Web searches
Web searches are handed to the browser or search engine you choose via an Android intent. That app's own privacy policy applies to your query.
Feedback, sharing and rating
In Settings, Send feedback opens the GitHub new-issue page in your browser, Share Blauncher hands a fixed line and the Google Play link to your device's share sheet, and Rate Blauncher opens Blauncher's page in the Play Store app, or in your browser. Blauncher adds nothing about your device or your apps to any of them, and it never asks you for a rating. Those apps' own privacy policies apply from there.
